Shortly following the Battle of New York, Nick Fury recruits a new generation of superheroes. Trained in the shadow of their parents, this team of rejects and misfits must learn to fight together. While some aspire to live up to their legacy, others are torn by the path they walk in.

Marie Stark never wanted to be a superhero. She just wanted to stay in her father's lab and spend the rest of her life tinkering in the lab with her father. Unfortunately, Tony sends her to SHIELD training. Marie learns there's more to being on a team, and that family can be found in the most unexpected ways.

However, as a rift begins to threaten the Avengers apart, Marie and the rest of her team must start choosing sides. She learns that some fights can't be avoided, and some battles shouldn't be won.
