When the Night Circus rolls into Kivoris along a strange fog, Lila finds herself unwillingly swept into its grasp, pulled from her cruel reality as a woman accused of an unthinkable crime, and into a world where only the truly mad can survive.

This Circus has one unbreakable rule: All participants must enter voluntarily.

When the Night Circus's immortal jester discovers that this rule has been broken and Lila brought in against her will, he allows her the chance to leave, but her own morbid curiousity and terrible secret draws her back in.
