Rot and Ruin: The Howling Curse
In the bright, colorful world of Equestria, where friendship and magic reign supreme, an ancient and sinister curse stirs beneath the surface-known only in whispers as the Howling Rot. This dark infection creeps silently through the land, twisting the very essence of magic and life itself. The Howling Rot begins as a slow, insidious corruption, infecting ponies through tainted blood and open wounds. Unlike any disease Equestria has faced before, it mutates its victims over time: horns crack and shatter, wings become ragged and half-eaten, and their bodies deteriorate, leaving behind grotesque remnants of the ponies they once were. As the infection advances, the Howling Rot's victims become feral and bloodthirsty, howling in anguish and rage, their tears and drool dark as oil-manifestations of the cursed magic coursing through their veins. The infection's curse is tied to an ancient, malevolent force long buried beneath Equestria's idyllic surface, awakened by dark magic and old grudges. Now, the ponies of Equestria face a chilling new threat-one that challenges the bonds of friendship and the very nature of their magic. The shadows on the walls twist and churn as what lurks within them moves. Every so often I catch a glimpse of one of their too-wide smiles. The things they say to me are unspeakable.
