Twelve-year-old Mirabelle Martin doesn't fit in, and she's okay with that. When you grow up surrounded by your famous explorer great-great-grandfather's books, journals, and stories of magic and adventure, ordinary life just feels... wrong.
So, when Mirabelle and her little sister, Baxter, discover an obsidian mirror in an abandoned subway graveyard, she's convinced her real life is finally beginning.
A mysterious face appears in the glass - a figure named Nobody who claims to be an old family friend. He's trapped in a faraway magical land called Kroywen and desperate to escape. He promises Mirabelle a potion that can stop her parents' divorce if she comes to Kroywen and helps free him from his dungeon.
But when a strange woman named Endellion, someone Mirabelle has seen lurking around New York, warns her that Nobody can't be trusted, Mirabelle faces an impossible choice: believe a stranger or risk everything to save her family.
She takes a leap and makes her way to Kroywen, but quickly finds out it is nothing like the fairy tales Nobody promised. The world is dark, crumbling, and full of strange creatures that twist the rules of reality itself. When Baxter is kidnapped by Nobody's birdlike henchmen, Mirabelle must decide what kind of hero she really wants to be, and discover that real magic isn't found in potions or mirrors, but in courage, love, and the strength to stand on your own.
If you like the worlds of Wicked, Harry Potter, Narnia, or Alice in Wonderland - Mirror of Mirabelle is for you! It's is a story about sisterhood, bravery, and discovering that the brightest kind of magic comes from being unapologetically yourself.

"Is that Marcus? Marcus as in, from our High School Marcus!" Casey squeaked.
I spun around, not quite believing her, but there he was. He strode through the school like he owned it and my god, he could've. He'd changed over the four years he'd been gone.
It was like god himself had carved him from a statue. His cheekbones could cut a finger and a jaw that could slice a hand. He was taller, more muscular. He looked nothing like the boy that went away. He wore a blacket jacket and ripped jeans, his grey eyes studied the school as every female studied him.
Suddenly, they slipped past every other person's eyes and landed on mine. No surprise etched his face, it was like he didn't recognise me. Until I saw the corner of his mouth lift up.

Best friends, Diana and Marcus planned to do everything together. They would go to college and live in the same dorm room, they would always be best friends.
But, Marcus went away.
Without expecting him to return, Diana uses her heartbreak to change her life. She becomes popular in college..
Then one day, he shows up.
But he's changed, he's darker, more silent and definitely a lot more hotter. He'd grown taller, his face sharper and he drew eyes from every woman on campus, even the guys. He spoke to no one and didn't even acknowledge her until she spoke to him.
But something was very off. Very off, indeed.
