First Love
Viviana Blair Fontanella is the epitome of a perfect daughter-smart, obedient, respectful, elegant, polite, proper, and most importantly silent. Her meticulously structured life was measured by rules, obligations, restrictions, and expectations. It revolves around school and nothing else, probably the reason why she never had so much friends. She was the kind of daughter parents would compare their children to. She's the only daughter of her respectable parents. Her father is a senator and a lawyer. Her mother, an infamous socialite and a devoted Catholic who spends her Sunday mornings at church. For her parents, image is everything, emotions are weakness, and obedience is love. She would always say yes to everything they tell her to do, and she would never dare to ask why does she have to do it. Because in her family, obedience is required. She had learned that long before she could distinguish the difference between oranges and tangerines. In her home, there was no room for failures, only perfection. She was made to be perfect. But perfection, when it became too much, can be exhausting. Anastasia Laurestine Coldwell, however, was chaos personified wrapped in silk and designer clothes. A total opposite of what a proper lady should be like. She walks down the hallway with sunflower hair clips on her hair, and with her pastel yellow backpack, all while roasting her friends for being the reason they lost a ranked game. Being the youngest and only daughter of the influential and wealthy Coldwell family, there were expectations laid on her shoulder, which she shrugged off. She would rather disappoint people instead of apologizing for simply being herself. That of course is partially a lie. She does care, just good at pretending she doesn't. Anastasia was everything Viviana was forced not to be. And yet, in a world designed to keep them apart, falling in love was their ultimate act of defiance. But love, as they will soon learn, has never been enough.
