IN WHICH the sky turns yellow, not the gentle shade of dawn but the sickly color of warning tape stretched across the heavens. For two days, the world watches the horizon blur, as if a giant hand is dragging sand across the sky, smearing the blue into something wrong.

Then the storms arrive.

Not one storm, but all of them, layered like a curse: hurricanes clawing coastlines apart, hail shattering cities, rain drowning streets, thunder splitting mountains, earthquakes cracking continents like eggshells. For a week, the world folds in on itself, scraping against extinction.

Humanity whispers that this must be the end. But they're wrong. The end is only the entry point. Because when the seventh night falls, the sky shatters. Not with lightning. But with light. A seam appears above the world, glowing like a wound, widening until the heavens look stitched open from within. Something steps through. Then another. Then many.

Radiant figures with wings made of storms. Shadowed figures with halos like broken rings.
Beings too bright to be angels, too cold to be demons, too silent to be human. They fall. They rise.
They watch.
