"It was then that I realized something. He was like me, but... not. We don't share the same creature. But we both have one."
After a falling out with her family, Thera Everhartt finds herself with a new, fresh start in Chugiak, Alaska, just thirty minutes northeast of Anchorage. She resonates with the cold, wooded, and secluded nature of the area after she finds herself to be a vampire. At least, that's how it feels to her. Thera meets Noah, who shares a similar, yet opposite monster with her: a werewolf. They share their troubles, which caused the monsters in the first place to happen, and find themselves to be in a symbiotic friendship where they help each other with their opposite struggles. Two hurt people that only understand each other.
If the synopsis was confusing, the werewolves and vampires represent what happens to people as they go through traumatic and sad events throughout life! This often leads them to be misunderstood at times. The characters do not turn into werewolves and vampires, as they are extended metaphors for what happens to some people after traumatic parts of life. However, the supernatural action will still be incorporated!
If you are interested in a relatable, clean, supernatural romance with a slight love triangle, romantic tension, and an extended metaphor, this is for you! Please enjoy!
