A Normal Society
A story delving into the dark and repugnant corners of human nature. This narrative features extreme horror as a way to bring to light societal moral decay, the perversely voyeuristic aspects of societal norms, pop culture and trends that victimise and exploit those who don't fit in to the 'normal' society that every human being strives to be a part of.
The themes of this story extend far beyond just an exercise in horror script writing, but it explores themes of desensitisation to extreme content, for example, life threatening challenges on TikTok, such as the Mukbang challenge, the Cinammon challenge, Rooftopping, and many more.
It also explores on how societal norms have normalised the victimisation of vulnerable individuals, to be exploited and violated for the pleasure of those around them. How much of this evil and depravity are we complicit in? Who dictates the societal norms of what's acceptable and what isn't? Are they morally depraved powerful figures of great influence who sculpt the dynamics of our society or are they cumulatively the ideology of every single one of the commoners that you find on the streets?
This story is my attempt at an unfiltered, unflinching and unbiased view of our modern society that has increasingly been sugar coated in a layer of political correctness, as a means to bury the grossly conspicuous moral perversion that seeps into our day to day lives. My aim is to expose the darkest corners of human behaviour and societal decay, as well as psychological and moral sickness that drives extreme cruelty.
Unfortunately, I had to use an AI generated cover as I do not have the exppertise in graphic design or digital design.
