The water falling from the cliff hit rather softly on the flat river below making a gentle, peaceful, and calming sound. I hung out by the river all the time when I was sad and lonely or just needed the peace and someone to listen, and the river always listened. I was never and still am not sure of what's missing in my life but the river helps me find it everyday and night. One day it was hot and dry and the river spoke to me " When I tell you this child shed no tears, but I will be leaving and I will be gone long but I promise to you I will be back in a slow amount of time I leave tonight please do not miss me." "But..." I spoke softly, River always listened to me so I decided it was time I did the same " I understand I will miss of the most of you and we will be reunited do promise me." "Yes I know I shall see you soon keep safe and I wish you the best while I'm gone." And so I left not wanting to see his disappearance and I did as I said although I knew I would miss him I waited.

Sitting by myself, my feet stuck in the cool water of the little stream, I tried, for the ten millionth time, to reason out why I had to have these problems. I was just a normal everyday kid, no better, no worse than most. I didn't do drugs, I didn't smoke or drink. I worried about my grades and my lack of six pack abs and if I was ever gonna get any taller or grow any hair on my chest. No earthshaking stuff, but important to me.
