Hell is (not) empty

For Alex, returning to high school is like descending into a Dantean circle of hypocrisy and bullying. His only anchor is the group: Lisa, the creative girl terrified of uncertainty; Erin, the cynical logician with an intelligence beyond his wildest; Andrea, the calm rock; and Alex herself, the leader driven by quick logic.

But on the first day, the return of Clara, a former homecoming queen and school bully with a disturbing past, transforms their personal hell into a distorted reality. A mysterious video in an empty theater awakens them in a ghost town, where only the four friends-and the terrifying Clara-remain.

Trapped in a geometric nightmare created by their fears, Alex and his "sacred circle" must decipher the symbols of an ancient glyph to thwart Clara, who now wants to use them to open a door. Salvation comes at a price, and Alex will discover that the only way out is to accept that she is the key to a battle that has only just begun, right here on the school benches.
