Alice is a 9 year old girl living like any other child until her father looses his job and can't take care of Alice. So Alice's parents are forced send her to her wealthiest relative aunt May and uncle Tim. uncle Tim wasn't expecting Alice and didn't want anything to do with her but couldn't send her back because of her aunt may.
Alice is forced by her abusive uncle Tim to clean the house, sleep in a small cupboard beneath the stairs struggling for food Alice takes a turn for the worst in a terrible storm. And once everything seems to go alright everything goes wrong
