That night on the astronomy tower, the game changed drastically. Dumbledore had fallen, Snape was a Death Eater, and Draco had choked, failed to kill Dumbledore. One more change happened that night; one Harry, Ron, Hermione, and all of the students of Hogwarts never could have predicted. Draco Malfoy switched sides.

They're seventeen year olds fighting a war. Seventeen year olds with the weight of the world on their shoulders. Thrown into the midst of a battle, will they survive? If they do, will they still be the same?

guys this is currently under revision so it's a messy work of progress! 2000+ reads on ao3 "reeled me in and crushed me with that ending. but i love it nonetheless." -carolinabeest "incredible for first work!" -zeroinstinct7 ·:*¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨*:· After the death of Dumbledore and the shattering night atop the Astronomy Tower, the war in Wizarding Britain twists into something far darker. Voldemort's forces have learned a terrible truth. When Harry, Ron, and Hermione are together their combined magical signatures burn like a beacon. Staying united no longer offers strength. It paints a target on their backs. So the Golden Trio must separate if they hope to survive long enough to destroy the Horcruxes. While Harry and Ron search for the scattered Horcruxes independently, Hermione finds herself alone on the outskirts of a forgotten village in rural Britain burying herself in research in the desperate hope of uncovering where the next one might be waiting. But even isolation cannot keep the war at bay. One late evening, she stumbles upon a body. One that is crumpled, pale, and bleeding into the leaves. Draco Malfoy. The boy who chose darkness. The boy she hates. As Hermione drags him into shelter, questions coil like smoke. How did he end up here? Why is he alone? And more dangerously... Why does she care if he dies or not? With Death Eaters hunting them both and the boundaries between enemy and exile blurring, Hermione must decide which will destroy her first: The war tearing their world apart... or the unexpected allegiance beginning to take shape in the quiet of the woods. ·:*¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨*:·

Draco Malfoy and The Half-Blood Prince (BOOK 6 of 7)

38 parts Complete

*FULL SERIES COMPLETE* This is book 6 in the Draco Malfoy Series. I highly recommend that you read the first five before this one. Draco has been recruited for Voldemort's elite circle, the Death Eaters. Not only that, but the Dark Lord has a special task for him: kill the only wizard who stands a chance against Voldemort. Draco can't kill anyone, much less Dumbledore, a man he has grown to respect above most others. And how is he supposed to help bring Voldemort to his knees when he's got a Vanishing Cabinet to fix? Things get tough during Draco's sixth year, with former members of Dumbledore's army despising his guts, with aspiring Death Eating Slytherins (and not just Slytherins), and with participants in the battle at the Department of Mysteries conflicted about their feelings towards Draco (well, he did save their lives so it should kind of be a no brainer). The real question is: who is on whose side? Draco may be the heir of Merlin, but there are some strange alliances that even he couldn't have seen coming, especially when it concerns his own friends. Rights for the creation of the Wizarding World and all its occupants go to J. K. Rowling.
