This focuses on the Summer of three High School friends:

D.J.: D.J. is what you would call the happy girl, the one who everybody likes and is always nice and just seems perfect. But beneath that, she is hiding a secret. Her life with her parents isn't as perfect as it seems, and now she has to deal with her friend Finn and keep it a secret from him as well. But will keeping it away from her friend really be as easy as it seems, especially when things begin to escalate?

Finn: Finn has never been the most secure person, but after meeting Liam a few years ago, his mothers death, and coming out to the school, his depression has gotten worse. He is trying for a better summer, a happier one. But the only friend that cares for him is D.J., and now Liam is determined to do better by Finn. The one problem; Finn is emotional, and one mistake can set him off.

Liam: Liam was amazing. The school joker, cool with almost anyone. But when he accidentally offends Finn, and then apologizes for it, things get slightly more complicated from there. Now he has to figure out a way to be Finn's friend, while at the same time keep his secret. Can he really keep a secret, especially from a person who just draws it out from him?

This summer is a game-changer for all three high school students, and the hard decisions they will make will impact their social and personal lives, and maybe lose some old friends and make some new ones. This is a summer to never forget.

Meet Violet Summers. She's the sarcastic girl who doesn't really ever get noticed by anyone. She blends into any crowd because of how "normal" she is. And she loves it. She wouldn't be able to stand the attention of everyone around her. That's why she won't tell Ryan Bloore, her crush for three years, that she practically worships the ground he walks on. Ryan is the captain of the basketball team at their school, so guys see him like he's a god and girls act like he walks on water. If they were to date, all eyes would be on her- she would be under everyone's scrutiny. So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.

''There is only one thing crossing my mind right now. If he hates me so much, then why the hell is he kissing me back?'' ----------------------- Emma White has always been kind of a loner. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father never really cared, always working in his successful company. That's why she decides to go to a college away from home, something she's been dreaming of since she can remember. However, what happens when at her very first day on campus, she crosses path with Noah Allen? He is rich, popular, cold, rude and a player just to start with. No surprise she calls him Mr. Grumpy. What is driving her insane though is that he's only too cold when it comes to her. After some not so pleasant moments and lots of glares, she tells herself that the best is to stay away from him, but it won't be that easy. After a disastrous kiss and hidden jealousy, she finds herself deeply involved into what is this frustrating boy. Add to that the fact that he is her roommates' childhood best friend and you can see drama from miles away. Noah claims to hate her ever since they met, and he doesn't mean her first day of college. He remembers her just fine from a couple of years ago and all the feelings are back. He knows she doesn't remember him and he'll use this as his leverage to do what he has to do. It's what he promised his father and himself, even if it means he has to pretend to care for her. All he cares is his family business. At least it's what he tells himself, until the feelings start getting too mixed and he ends up thinking of her more than he should. Maybe it's not all about business after all. He knows their history started before she even knows, what he didn't expect was for her to be so different from what he has always believed.

Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. It all started when a boy brought attention to her in biology class one day, laughing at her and calling her a "freak" while the rest of the class laughed along with him. She never looked at him or saw his face; she just ran out of the room crying. She was now an outcast labeled as a freak and she wanted nothing more than to just disappear. She felt she had no purpose in life. Until her sophomore year when she fell in love with Liam, the guy every girl wanted; the guy every dude wanted to be. He had stolen her heart and she now wanted nothing more than to be with him. Unfortunately, Liam seemed to want nothing to do with Emma. He seemed to be straight up avoiding her. They never interacted for 3 whole years. That is, until now in their senior year, when they get paired up for a school project. The two must put their differences aside and try to work as a team. [Book #1 of Twisted Deception] "You people don't know a damn thing about us, don't even speak." **** Everyone knows that high school is always something to dread. GPA, friends, enemies, prom, graduation, everything that you think would make high school good and bad for the future. Now scratch off friends, GPA, prom, and graduation. Why would you scratch them off? Because everything else will be the only thing that's important when you get to this high school. Saint Johnathan Pier is the one high school in the city where everything happens and normally, stuff you wish you didn't see. Everyone warned people about the dangers of the students going there but did they ever mention the people already broken by it? They were dubbed "the rainbow colors of society" just because they were different from other students in this school. But there's a slight differential between them: four of these students are popular while the other four are normal. While the four populars are seen as "superior, hot, and intimidating", the four normals are seen as "weirdos, weaklings, and irreverent bystanders". Being different from the other kids has always been a struggle for all of them since grade school, but they try to keep that out of mind. But with their dark history following them at every corner, making new friends can't be on their list. Matter of fact, it isn't an option. Especially when their attitudes are what drive people away rather than in. Not like they're complaining though. When these eight students get paired up for an end of the year assignment, they encounter a lot of drama that will test their relationships to the max. What will happen to them? Can they grow comfortable with each other? Can these troubled teens even be friends in the first place? Come along on the journey as these eight try to survive their last year of high school. ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: This contains strong language, mentions of rape, bullying, etc.
