When fifteen-year-old Ben Crowe goes fishing with his grandfather, the last thing he expects is to be kidnapped by a flying dolphin and carried to a land above the clouds.
Suspended in the endless cloud sea lies Alta Terra, an island in the sky where the wind itself is alive and strange creatures soar between floating peaks. But all is not well Alta Terra. The Dark Clouds have caused chaos, spreading and corrupting the lighthouses and plunging the skies into shadow.

Unbeknownst to humans, there is an invisible world just beyond their own where Mother Nature and Father Time work together to keep the earth in balance; however, when a prediction is made that a threat to their world will rise, its up to Mother Nature's daughter, Terra, to stop it. Preview: "Aqua!" Terra cried as she ran to her badly injured sister. She quickly fell to her knees and cradled her sister in her arms. Her whole body was littered with burns, cuts, and bruises. It looked as if she had beaten to a pulp. Her eyes began to flutter open. She gasped and tried to get away from Terra until she realized that it was Terra. "Terra?" Aqua croaked out in a hoarse voice. "Yes, Aqua, it's me. Don't worry I will get you out of here." Terra reassured as she began to gently help Aqua sit up. "Terra, where is Aura?" Aqua asked in a raspy voice. Terra paused and thought for a minute. Where was Aura? "I don't know. She actually led me here, but I don't know where she went."
