Welcome to Neo-Kyoto, a sprawling megalopolis of holographic koi and rain-slicked streets, where New York's grit meets Tokyo's electric soul. Here, the only thing that matters is the roar of an engine.

The sport is ARC-Racing-a deadly, high-speed game where drivers use retro cartridges to warp reality on the track, unleashing impossible powers like phantom-phasing and data-bombs.

Kaito is an underdog, a half-breed nobody in a city of corporate giants. He has nothing but a junk-bucket car, a few Creds to his name, and a ghost.

His father, Genji Tanaka, was the greatest ARC-Racer who ever lived... until he won the World Tournament and vanished without a trace. Now, the only thing Kaito has left of him is a single, priceless cartridge marked with one word: Kage. Shadow.

To find out what happened, Kaito must enter the same tournament that consumed his father, a neon-drenched spectacle run by the corrupt, all-powerful Kaibara-Dyne corporation. But to even qualify, he'll have to race through the city's dark underbelly, battling rogue tech-wizards and tunnel-rat gangs to re-assemble his father's legendary "deck" of lost cartridges.

With the help of a mysterious, ghost-like Tuner from his father's past, Kaito will risk everything he has-and his father's last legacy-to uncover the truth.

He isn't just racing for the finish line. He's racing for answers.
