There is too much to do and no time left. A new, possibly dangerous visitor to the speakeasy? A visitor who's dragged his past along with him, nonetheless. A past with, as Rocky might call it, "A jacked up face and all but the most gruesome disposition." Reopening, kidnapping, and drugs! Oh my! All while enemies new and old close in from all sides. Lackadaisy, Marigold, and Mizti don't know the half of it. There is opportunity in chaos, though. So now ugly choices must be made.
Will Freckle accept a fate of martyrdom, or will he and Ivy fight? Will the past swallow up a Viktor and Mordecai, or will friends, old and new, pull them from the mire? Will Rocky die shrivelled and forgotten along with his ship, or will Mitzi burn her world and everyone in it for a little more room to stretch her wings?

'Please,' he just breathed again and I finally took the heavy metal into the hand that wasn't holding onto his other. It was already loaded. I heard the mechanisms click as I placed the barrel a few inches away from the space between his eyes. He closed his eyes, squeezing my hand tighter which was getting very sweaty. 'At least I'll say hi to mom and dad,' he laughed, spitting blood in the process. Before I could break down completely, I pulled the trigger, the deafening shot making my ears ring. I closed my eyes and looked away, only feeling his hand twitch open for a second and then falling onto his lifeless stomach. I gave out a painful moan. 'I love you, my treasure...'" Here we are, a SPIN-OFF story of my "Curly Head" series, in which Andy actually went on that one job he previously ditched and got himself into quite a predicament. In this one, I'll turn the angst-meter down, I promise. "GET THE FUCK DOWN, NOW!" roared Carlos. To their horror, they heard gunshots and glass breaking. Both girls started screaming as Carlos pulled out a pistol from his trench coat. Florida and Greta covered their ears, trying to duck as low as they could below the seats. Eileen sped down the freeway, dodging cars effortlessly. Florida looked towards a horrified Greta and tried to calm her down, but the bullets flying into the car were making it hard for her to gather her thoughts. Carlos grunted at the impact as Florida realized with sudden dread that he was shot. Suddenly, both girls' screams were swallowed up by a tremendous explosion behind them as Florida witnessed a partial view of a white vehicle door flying right past Eileen's window. She was fighting to stay conscious but suddenly grew light-headed as white spots started to invade her vision. Suddenly everything went to black on Florida.
