The clearing was supposed to be the end. A brutal, final lesson delivered by a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. Negan intended to shatter Rick Grimes and claim the remnants of their world.

But when Abraham falls, the resulting chaos forces Negan to make a tactical error: Instead of killing Glenn, he settles for breaking his arm and stealing Daryl Dixon as punishment for their defiance.

Glenn survives, but his soul is not intact. Haunted by the terror of that night and the guilt of his brother's capture, he watches as Rick shatters into a shell of a man, submitting to Negan's tyranny.

But Maggie refuses to surrender.

Together, Glenn and Maggie realize that obedience is a slow death. They abandon Alexandria, taking the first steps into the wilderness to find and fortify a new, secret home-a place they name Lori's Fort, a bastion of defiance built for the future they refuse to let Negan claim.

Driven by an engineer who prefers bolts to bullets, and fueled by a love tested by trauma, they will build an impenetrable fortress. But escaping Negan's clutches means only one thing: the war begins sooner, and it will be deadlier.
