Set in Kentucky, join Reyna, a normal 17 year old girl stuck with community service after committing robbery with a group of friends.
Reyna unexpectedly stays in a prison for a short time, as she isn't bailed and surprisingly manages to attain some unlikely friends.
With her community service Reyna now has to visit an old lady; Marie everyday after school. Not a very judgmental person, even Reyna can see something's a little off about Marie with her constant predictions about a zombie apocalypse and probably the fact that she's packing heat. Marie not only insists that Reyna help her prepare for this zombie apocalypse myth, but also has her undergo some serious survival training, turning Reyna, a peaceful minded person who's never been in a fight her whole life into a kickass zombie slayer with the heart of a lion.
What happens when a certain deadly virus breaks out and Marie's assumptions turn out correct?
Now in the middle of action Reyna and Marie team up along with a few others and some unlikely friends to face this new world in a fight for survival.
