The Eclipse of Hope

A thousand years ago, the conflict between Princess Celestia and her resentful sister reached its boiling point. But just as the Sun Princess prepares the final, painful act of banishment, an even darker presence tears through the veil of reality.
​Nightmare, the Multiversal Guardian of Negative Feelings, senses the potent, unharvested sorrow of Equestria. He offers Nightmare Moon an alliance: in exchange for becoming the eternal source of this world's despair, she will not face exile. Instead, she will receive the power to permanently shatter her sister's light.
​Now, as the forces of shadow unite, Celestia faces a fight not just for her throne, but for the very emotional existence of her ponies. The fate of Harmony hangs on an alliance yet to be formed-a desperate plea across the multiverse to the only being who can counteract this cosmic despair: Dream.
