Aru has lived her life avoiding touch. Ever since she was a child, the slightest brush of skin-to-skin contact floods her with another person's deepest emotions , their grief, their guilt, their secrets. It's a power that isolates her, and one she barely understands. When a mysterious organisation captures her, promising to "help" her control it, Aru quickly learns the truth: she's a subject in a government experiment designed to weaponise empathy. Inside the sterile facility, she meets Cloud - a boy engineered to be her opposite. Cold, detached, and incapable of feeling anything, Cloud has been molded into a perfect assassin. Where Aru's gift makes her fragile, his emptiness makes him unstoppable. Yet, against every rule and expectation, the two are drawn to each other. Aru's emotions begin to anchor Cloud's hollow existence, while Cloud's calm becomes her refuge. But the fragile balance between them shatters when an experiment goes wrong and their powers swap. Now, Aru feels nothing for the first time in her life, while Cloud is overwhelmed by every emotion he never knew he had. Their bond deepens as Cloud begins to experience love, fear, and tenderness for Aru; feelings that both heal and destroy him. Just as they start to believe they might escape together, Cloud vanishes without a trace, leaving only the echo of his newfound humanity behind. Aru is left in a world of numbness, clutching the memory of the boy who taught her what it meant to feel, will she find what she has lost or will she find answers she doesn't want looking for him. ❄️ **Story Description - "Until the Ice Stops Bleeding"** In a world where war and science blur the line between healing and horror, **Saeko Yarazaki** was never meant to exist. Born in a remote fishing village to a human father and a snow leopard hybrid mother, her childhood was brief - stolen under a moonless sky when unmarked soldiers tore her family apart. She awoke not in her home, but in **Division-9**, a hidden bioweapon facility where children became test subjects and miracles were built from agony. For ten years, Saeko endured unspeakable experiments - viruses that rebuilt her from the inside, pain conditioning that silenced her screams, and endless "healing trials" designed to weaponize her blood. They called her *Subject S-042.* They stripped away her name, her innocence, and her humanity - but not her will. When chaos finally gave her a chance to escape, Saeko clawed her way back to the surface, only to find her home erased and her family murdered. What remained was a single relic: a **silver snowflake pendant**, stained with ash and memory. Burying it in the snow, she swore one vow - *to never let another soul bleed like she did.* Years later, beneath neon skies and Yakuza gunfire, Saeko became a healer in the shadows - a medic with the hands of a saint and the reflexes of a predator. Her split mind - **Sweet, Psyko, and Hateful** - kept her alive through every wound she stitched and every life she saved. To the underworld, she was *Windows* - the glitching girl who could stop death itself. To herself, she was just trying to remember what it meant to be human. But peace does not follow ghosts of the lab. The viruses inside her are evolving. The people who made her haven't stopped watching. And the snowflake she buried years ago is calling her back - whispering of something unfinished beneath the ice. Now twenty-two, Saeko Yarazaki must choose: heal the world that broke her, or burn it all until the ice finally stops bleeding.
