An Outcasted Earth.

Six years ago a weird event occurred in California, a man gained super human abilities. Everybody initially thought this was a breakthrough for humanity, which it was. But it wasn't quite in the way the people expected. The man who gained powers went insane only 3 days later and he murdered four people. Those four people gained powers and went insane too. This infection began to spread worldwide until only less than a handful of people were left as survivors on earth, seeking out a way to end this nightmare they faced for years.
