A beauty and the beast retelling.
Adonis Jeroff is cursed with a life of scars and voluntary solitude. That solitude is interrupted with the arrival of the compassionate, seemingly naive Valora Versace. Brought together under a precarious situation, with physical scars as deep as Adonis' and emotional scars etched into Valora's heart and soul, one tends to believe that time has a knack of healing all wounds. Though Adonis with vigor resists her presence in his life, circumstances just allow her to remain. When vengeful forces intervene and lives are at stake, both began to wonder just how much more scarring can they take.
This is a play on the Beauty and the Beast story. I've always admired it and hope who ever reads it will enjoy it as much as I do.

Oriel Harthorn had been cursed to become a monster. Being a prince no more, he had to find a way to break the curse. There was no such thing as true love like what was told in storybooks. For who could ever love such a hideous creature? In this version, there is no princess. Mei Arabella saw herself as more of a beast than a beauty. Would it be possible for her to be the one to help the beast? And can the enchantress who cast the spell be trusted? Who's to say that witch was really a friend or foe?
