The camera flash didn't just blind... it burned.

Jimin had learned long ago how to hold his smile steady through it. Chin tilted just right, eyes softened into that perfect crescent shape everyone loved, hand resting lightly on Jihyo's waist. Her fingers curled around his with practiced grace, like a dance they'd both performed a thousand times before.

To the world, they looked flawless... two halves of a whole, the couple everyone wanted to be. Seven years, no scandals, no whispers, no cracks in the porcelain.
Every magazine headline called them goals.
Every red carpet was a stage, and every interview a script.

He could almost hear the crowd's awe behind the velvet ropes:

"They're perfect together."
"Imagine being that in love."

Perfect. Together. In love.
Three words that meant nothing, yet cost him everything.

When the cameras finally lowered, Jimin exhaled through his teeth, slow and quiet so no one would notice.
Jihyo's hand slipped away first... always hers first... and she smiled up at him, that polite, public kind of affection that was all they had left.

Their manager approached, offering congratulations for another successful appearance.
Jimin nodded automatically, already scanning the exit.

In the backseat of the car, silence pressed heavier than the flashbulbs.
Jihyo scrolled through her phone, the screen glow flickering over her perfect profile.
He watched the city blur by... the same city that loved them, worshipped them, and would destroy them if it ever saw the truth.

His phone buzzed once.

[Taehyung]: You good?

Jimin stared at the message for a long time, thumbs hovering.
He didn't answer. Not yet.

He looked out the tinted window instead, at the endless streets of Seoul glittering like a lie. Somewhere in that brightness, someone would always be watching.
And somewhere beneath it, all of them were still waiting
for the night the lights would finally go out.

Jisoo had always believed in love-the kind that made your heart race, the kind that made the world feel lighter when you were with someone. She never imagined that love could be ripped from her hands so abruptly, leaving only emptiness in its place. Suho, the man she thought she would spend her life with, had become a chapter that ended too soon, and yet, life had a crueler twist in store. Across the city, Taehyung was fuming behind the polished doors of his family estate. A man of discipline, control, and icy perfection, he had never tolerated unpredictability-least of all heartbreak. But when the woman he had planned to marry left him at the very last moment, his life, which had always been neatly ordered, fell into chaos. And now, by the insistence of his parents, he was to marry... a stranger. Their worlds collided in a contract neither wanted. Jisoo, heartbroken and betrayed by circumstance, faced the unimaginable: leaving the only love she had ever known, stepping into the arms of a man who made no effort to hide his disdain. Taehyung, stern, serious, and unyielding, saw only annoyance in her presence-a living reminder of a life he hadn't chosen. Forced together by duty, surrounded by expectations, and burdened with resentment, they entered a marriage built on obligation, not affection. Yet, fate has a way of twisting the simplest truths. In stolen glances, accidental touches, and moments of vulnerability, the icy walls around Taehyung's heart would begin to crack-and Jisoo, the girl he claimed to despise, would be the one to see the man behind the cold mask. This was a story of hate that simmered too close to love, of a bond forged in resentment that would test every limit of the heart, and of two people who had no choice but to discover that sometimes, love comes when you least expect it... and often, in the most unwilling hearts.

"I didn't ask for any of this! I don't care about the stupid bond!" Namjoon's voice echoed through the room, his frustration spilling over. He looked at her, and the moment their eyes met, guilt twisted in his chest. Tears welled up in her brown eyes, but she refused to let them fall. "Well, I didn't either! But here we are!" she shot back, her voice shaking with emotion before she stormed out, desperate to keep herself from breaking. A heavy silence filled the room. Seokjin let out a sigh, shaking his head. "That was absolutely unnecessary. And rude. You fucked up Namjoon-ah" Without another word, he turned and followed after her. . . . . . What happens when two people from completely different worlds are bound by fate? Thrown together by destiny, forced to navigate a bond neither of them understands-can they truly find their way to each other? Between the chaos, the heartbreak, and the undeniable pull between them, one thing is certain: Fate may have brought them together... but will love be enough to keep them from falling apart? A rollercoaster of emotions-love, drama, and moments that will make your heart race. Stay tuned!
