The Things I Never Said

This book is a collection of all the words I never spoke,
the ones that stayed stuck in my throat
when I wanted to tell you what you meant to me.

It is about almost, maybes,
the in-betweens we pretended not to notice.
It is about the kind of love that feels like fire in the chest
but disappears in silence.

These are the things I never said.
And maybe, by writing them here,
I finally did.
