Triad City (LMK mafia au)

(Cover art was made by me) LMK Triad City AU was created by me. I first posted concept art of it on my tumblr, and then I came up with a fic for it. So here it is:

Triad City AU is a Monkie Kid alternate universe that takes place in a mafia-style timeline. Our main protagonist, Mk, lives in a closed off sort of dystopian city called Metropolis. Years ago, the newest leader decreed that no one will be allowed in or out of Metropolis until all mafia, triads, yakuza, gangs, etc. had been taken care of. She erected walls around Metropolis because of the growing population of mafia groups in the city. Which gave the city many nicknames, such as Mafia city, Yakuza city, and of course Triad City.

But the people of Metropolis have grown suspicious over the years. Are the increasing mafia groups the bad people, or is the new leader part of some corrupt government?
