He never thought something like this could happen to him. Seonghwa and Hongjoong had only planned a trip to the other side of the island- but then Seonghwa fell into a cave, and everything changed. He woke up with powers that weren't his own, and a gift- the ability to turn into a merman. But he didn't know what to do. How was he supposed to tell Hongjoong? So he did the only thing he could: he kept silent.

He's close enough now that Mingi can see his stunningly wide eyes and his full lips and it's almost a shame that his life will end here, for he is the most beautiful thing Mingi thinks he's ever laid eyes on. He reaches out a clawed hand to touch the man's face. It's soft and smooth. Mingi is as captivated as the human seems to be and for a split second, the man's eyes are lucid. They are lucid and Mingi realizes he's stopped singing. His voice escapes him and his song dies in his throat and he doesn't even notice until San's voice is gone too and with it, the spell keeping the human obedient and still. Seonghwa hasn't been this bad in a while. It was a combination of things, really, that lead to the fall. It always is. Hongjoong's deep inside of him, forcing his back to arch. The praise doesn't set him on fire the way it normally does, the coil in his abdomen feels less like arousal and more like some sort of dread. A dead weight. He screws his eyes shut.
