It tells the story of a lone wolf who wanders the world working as a mercenary, taking jobs that others would normally refused. He's not doing for the money or fame, rather to find himself a purpose..

Their master is unknown. They come out of nowhere, mainly at night, and kill. Heroes. Heroic, brave Mobians who come out of the shadows to stop the demons. They're the ones celebrated, they're the ones loved. They care about others. There is a lot of heroes in the world, just as much as demons. They also come out of nowhere, mainly at night as well, and save lives. What if a hero and a demon fell in love? Knuckles the Echidna is a hero. Somewhat gullible but short-tempered, this echidna isn't someone you want to mess with. In terms of muscle, he's the strongest hero around, but when it comes to smarts and speed, he's the weakest. Not the sharpest tool in the shed. Sonic the Hedgehog is a demon. Somewhat snarky but kindhearted, this hedgehog is a bit cowardly when it comes to fights. He was never about fighting and violence like other demons, he just wants freedom and peace. Bullied for his secret morals, he sneaks out for the night. What if these two were to cross paths? this story is based in Roman times in Mobius. long ago sonic and Shadow was childhood friends that had only each other to face the hate that they got from the world till Sonic's father had enough of Sonic not listening to him and had him sold off into slavery. shadow tries to save him from leaving his side but was too weak to do so resulting in shadow snapping as the last thing he had in life was taken away from him resulting in him becoming insane. will shadow find Sonic or forget him and carry on in life as the new Emperor 12 years later. They have to live mundane lives during their time there. Some get jobs in order to blend in and earn their keep. Little do they know a certain egg themed villain is attempting to find this world to conquer as well as defeat the heros hiding in plain sight. Will they stop him without being captured by the villains of this world? Or will the villain rise to the top, rendering the heros useless? Eventual Sonadow, Rougeknux, Blazeamy, and Mephilver. 16+ there are adult themes and topics in this book not suitable for minors, nothing explicit, which is why I put 16+ rather than 18+.
