Shadow never really saw himself as the parental type, and quite frankly, neither did Sonic. But through extraordinary measures, the two hedgehogs find themselves with a small hoglet.
And surprisingly, neither of them hate it.

Over time, he figures out that Sonic is the quote on quote "ultimate lifeform" on Mobius. He tries to become acquaintances with Sonic so he can learn their culture... as things take a turn.
