I'd traded lust for ambition, late nights for late deadlines, and the fleeting rush of skin for the steady comfort of stability.

And it worked-until him.

Reo wasn't the type of man you could ignore. He carried himself with quiet confidence, the kind that didn't need to demand attention because the room gave it to him anyway. Every meeting, every glance across the glass table, every faint brush of his hand when he passed me a file-
It was torture in designer cologne.

But I knew better.
I'd learned to bite down temptation before it burned me again. A crush, that's all it was. A harmless, ridiculous crush on my boss. Nothing more.
