I knew what a sight I must have been right then, covered in dirt and twigs, my face a darker color than the usual caramel due to the flush of anger rising to my cheeks, my eyes now fully a bright, intense green, a color I got from my mother, my long chestnut hair falling out of its braid, bow at my back and sword dangling at my side. No wonder the other 3 men quickly moved out of the way and dropped their hands to their hilts. I stepped up to my father’s desk, where the one and only King Richard Chaplain-Stepford of Glazelle sat on an ornate padded chair, not even sparing me a glance as he chuckled and set his piercing brown eyes on the three men backed up against the far wall.

I glanced at my watch, fifteen minutes. I ran towards the closest train station. So many stairs. I jog down and right when I turn to dash in the actual train station floor, I run into a hard, warm surface.
