 The Great Resource War reshaped the world, leaving the once-mighty United States of America a shadow of its former self. In 2077, the deadliest nuclear fallout in 40 years devastated the planet. From the ashes, the Remnants of America initiated Operation Reclaim, a bold campaign to recover their lost states and revive the union.

With strategic backing from the Greater European Union, America's rebuilding efforts gained new momentum. For the first time in decades, hope flickered within the battered heart of the Republic.

The People's Republic of California, weary from a brutal 15-year conflict with the New Republic of Texas, now faces an unfamiliar danger. A mysterious rift, codenamed The New Gate, has opened, its origin unknown, its purpose unclear.

Among those sent to investigate is Lieutenant James Lillian, a mobile suit pilot serving the United States Marine Corps. What awaits him beyond the Gate will shake the remnants of America... and the world they thought they knew.

However, one day, the people on the land of Japan woke up to a foreign sight. No known constellation, familiar stars, the moon, and neighboring landmass could be detected. Facing them is a planet of unknown, magic, and of possibility. Facing the crisis of transference, the people united once more, and again, the name Japan is re-recognized as a country. Her diplomatic corps is sent out on the rebuilt Japan Cosmo Navy ships, heading toward unknown lands, and contacting the nations of the new world. The politic of the new world however is a quagmire full of arrogance, hostility, and imperialism. "If diplomacy fails, then defend ourselves, we must" - proclaimed the newly appointed provisional PM of Japan, Heikuro Todo. The story of Nihonkoku Shoukan Beyond will follow Japan in the world of Space Battleship Yamato (2199/2202/2205) after their transference to the new world. This story is inspired by the original NHS and fanfics like Summoning America by DrDoritosMD. It will feature similar plots to the OG NHS by Minorou and the fanfics by other creators I have the pleasure to read. With this as my first English fanfic novel, please don't be too harsh.
