Nora and Liam weren't supposed to fall apart. They used to be each other's favorite person - the inside jokes, the late-night calls, the almost-confessions everyone could see coming. Now? We're enemies. Loud, dramatic, school-wide enemies. We argue in the hallway. We roll our eyes when the other walks by. We swear we're over it - over us - every single day. And we mean it. We really do. Until we're alone. Until one look becomes a stare, one argument hits too close, and suddenly we're way too close again - hearts racing, voices low, neither of us willing to be the first to walk away. We claim we hate each other. But the truth is? If we really hated each other, it wouldn't hurt this much. It wouldn't feel this intense. It wouldn't still feel like something. This isn't love. This isn't hate. It's the dangerous, messy, impossible thing in between... and we're terrible at letting it go.

Amara Lopez lives by her planner and coffee. She's always on time, always top of the class, and always one sarcastic comment away from a fight. Especially when it comes to Liam Rivera her arrogant, annoying, dangerously charming academic rival. But when they're forced to work together on a major project, sparks fly not the romantic kind (yet), but the kind that burns through ego, secrets, and everything Amara thought she hated about him. Brownouts, group activities, jealousy, and accidental soft moments... How long can you call someone "annoying" before you accidentally fall in love? Enemies. Partners. Maybe... something more.
