Tanjiro and Zenitsu have been inseparable best friends since middle school, always seen together no matter what. Despite their close bond, Zenitsu constantly puts himself down, believing that no one could ever like him because he's too emotional and cries too much. Tanjiro always reassures him, but keeps his own deeper feelings hidden.

Things begin to change when Zenitsu starts to wonder-what if someone could like him? This thought makes him self-conscious, and he tries to change who he is by hiding his emotions and acting differently. Tanjiro quickly notices the shift, feeling confused and hurt as Zenitsu begins to pull away.

As Zenitsu struggles with insecurity and fear of being judged, Tanjiro finds himself growing unexpectedly jealous and frustrated, not fully understanding his own feelings. The tension builds until Zenitsu, overwhelmed by everything, breaks down and pushes Tanjiro away, insisting that someone like him is impossible to love.
