Seventeen-year-old Nichi Cho-the youngest astronaut and scientist humanity has ever known-never expects his mission to lead him to Kumo Rito, a wounded, volatile symbiote hiding under a human disguise and barely surviving as a janitor on a distant station. When Nichi saves Kumo from a fatal attack, the encounter binds the two together in a way neither understands. Sweet, brilliant Nichi and sharp-tempered, battle-scarred Kumo clash at every turn, yet danger forces them into an uneasy alliance. As they dodge hunters, share cramped quarters, and slowly learn each other's truths, their reluctant partnership grows into something deeper. In a galaxy built on fear and division, they discover the one thing neither expected to find among the stars-love.
