It was December 5th, 1894.
Paris lay under a blanket of snow, its elegant streets filled with dazzling women in silk gowns and gentlemen in perfectly tailored suits. Everything seemed serene - until the night that shattered the city's peace.
Wealthy aristocrat Charles Martin was found savagely murdered in the nearby forest. Panic swept through society, and whispers of fear echoed across Paris. No one could understand what kind of creature could have caused such brutal wounds.

Aleah Sullivan wakes up to the sound of her alarm blaring. Another day at the café. She swings her legs over the bed, stretching and yawning, feeling the dull ache in her muscles that has become familiar over the years.
