This story is set in the universe of the TV series 9-1-1 and follows the life of Alice Harrington - a 24-year-old war veteran who, after tragic events in Afghanistan, decides to start a new life as an LAPD officer. Her past, however, refuses to let her go - Alice carries both physical and emotional scars from the deaths of her friends and her beloved.
Determined, courageous, and impulsive, with flawless combat and shooting skills, Alice is assigned to patrol with Athena Grant - an experienced officer who becomes her mentor and a mother figure. Their joint patrols through the brutal and unpredictable streets of Los Angeles put Harrington to the test on both professional and personal levels.
Over time, Athena and her husband Bobby draw Alice into their circle of close friends at Firehouse 118. There, she befriends Buck, a relationship built on full trust, though strictly platonic. However, her most tense and complicated relationship develops with Eddie - initially marked by mutual reluctance, it evolves into a strong emotional bond, and his son Christopher becomes someone special to Alice.
