Avery Hines is a loner at Dixon High School. Until one day a kid with bright ruby eyes bumps into them. They brush it off and head over to a repair shop to fix their violin before the school dance. At the repair shop they see the same red eyed person staring at them. The red eyes person runs into the "Employee's Only" room as Avery follows to see them form a big blue portal. The person grabs Avery's arm and drags them into the portal. They soon find out why they were brought there. They are the child of the missing king whom they need to find.
