I saw it all. . .Blood. Screams. Terror. Fear. Creatures that eat its own kind. I saw life collapse to the ground. The full functioning foundations of life, crumbling into dust. I heard the desperate cries of the dying. The begging for mercy. I saw the tears of those bereft of their lives, yet all I could do, was watch. Would I too, succumb to my end, or is there a better death awaiting for me?

I've been on the run for three years. I'm not the first, but I certainly won't be the last. For as long as I can remember, I had been experimented on, drugged to the brink of insanity, and tortured by someone I thought was my family. Boy, was I wrong. "What you expect of me isn't me! When will you get that through your think ass head?!" I screamed and slammed the front door. I was tired of her. She cheated on my dad and screw up my life. As I stood there looking at myself I knew right at that moment how much hated what I had saw. Not everything is as it seems. I would laugh, smile, and have fun, however it's all an act. Pain. Everywhere. I could hardly breathe. But still, I forced myself to stay awake. I couldn't risk falling asleep. I looked at the small cage he had put me in, and sighed to myself. I felt my eyes lose their yellow colour, and go back to my usual colour, hazel. It wasn't easy, being taken away from your family at a young age, and being changed. Into a monster. I didn't know exactly what I was, but I even scared myself when he took me to the woods to hunt, like he just had. I wish he would just let me die. But he wouldn't. Every day, he told me that I was his most precious valuable, and he couldn't let me go. But that doesn't stop my small fantasy of him letting me die. Nothing ever would. All I want is to be alone. I wish that no one existed. My name is Zeina. I don't talk much. Not at all actually. Well not really. I sign or write things down in my notebook. I can speak.
