AKA: How to find adolescent, genetically altered, martial artists that may or may not be tortoises, no borax no glue.
Katya was born to be a weapon-built to fight, trained to win, and lethal under the right orders. After an accident leaves her scarred, she swaps combat boots for house slippers and a mostly quiet family life. The Company rewards her loyalty with a house in a gated town and a little family to call hers.
It's safe. Comfortable. Controlled.
But a gold cage is still a cage.
Neil, her son, only sees the bright side: the Company's stories, the prosperity, the promises of purpose. To him, the Company are heroes. So when his uncle sends him on a "classified trip" to New York to track down rumored mutant turtles, Neil jumps at the chance to prove himself.
What could possibly go wrong?
