Henry As a Maldrian, half human and half nhadar, the people in charge of magic in the world see him as a leech and a problem. Everyone else is afraid because rumors say every maldrian is dangerous and should be killed on sight. So as long as he keeps his powers hidden, and sticks to the rules and follows the pack and the prime that leads it, he should be fine. Right? If only the past would stay there. It can't be changed. The past has been, but the future is his daughter. And she has his blood running through her veins. What will happen to her if they discover who he is? What he is? His only wish in life is for his daughter to grow up without fearing when the ax will come. Vincent Growing up Vincent has always needed to take care of his mother. Learned to read her emotions in order to keep her calm while navigating politics and a life he feels too weak to actually protect. Secrets happens behind closed doors that can never be true. It's only a fantasy. A small break that is something just for himself and another. But he knows it can't be forever. It isn't long before Vincent will go through the secret ritual. One that will finally make him strong enough to potentially protect his mother, but also make him something forbidden. Should the people who control magic believe there's more to his mother than meets the eye, which he knows there are, but not in the way they might think. He then needs to be stronger. The word "magic" summons the wrong people, and can get you killed. Vincent might ignore some things that are roght in front of his eyes, but he can do nothing unless he survives the transformation to finally become a Shadow Walker.

"You have completely and utterly bewitched me, Lucia. Every time I look at you, I feel practically hypnotized." ☆✰⭐︎ Lucia Winters was raised in a pure-blood family with a storied history, expectations weigh heavily on her. Her father couldn't say no when she was invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a fifth year. She was deeply nervous about stepping into Hogwarts, not that she would ever admit it out loud. Lucia didn't grow up dreaming of the Great Hall, or getting sorted in front of hundreds of staring eyes. But with carefully composed nervousness there was excitement, she was burning with it. Lucia doesn't know yet what is to come, the power she can yield from her fingertips, a person who could guide her magic, or possibly use it. Sebastian Sallow was in his fifth year of Hogwarts. It started with exhaustion. The kind that settles into your bones - the kind that no amount of sleep or sugar quills can fix. Sebastian hid it with his grin, the sarcasm, the easy confidence. But by now, it was habit, not joy. Anne hadn't improved. Solomon barely spoke to him. So he did what he always did, he hid the bleeding parts. But underneath all of it was a hum, a low, constant desperation. He started digging into older magic, darker spells, things the books said he shouldn't touch. He touched them anyway. Sebastian was not going to sit back and watch his sister wither when he knew there were answers? No. There had to be answers, something, or someone, will show him. ☆✰⭐︎ A collision of two desperate souls, one already falling, the other just stepping into the dark. He needs her - not just because of her magic. She needs him - not just because he sees her clearly. Two people keeping secrets, both too clever for their own good, both drawn to eachother like gravity. Somewhere in their desperation, ambition, and obsession with saving Anne, it started to look like more than a friendship.
