Have you ever wandered a haunted house? Maybe an abandoned building so far gone you can hardly see it, vines and weeds swallowing it whole, forcing it into a prison of nature. There's something daunting, tormenting, poetic about it. A whisper of death, a foreshadow of what's to come.

A building on fire. A girl and a boy. A sister and a brother. His screams, her panting, begging for it all to be a dream, a nightmare, a sick joke. It was, a sick joke, nature's sickest.

Follow along with Ellory Michael, experiment number 312, Hydra's flame. This is a Marvel inspired story, I don't know the ins and outs yet, but we'll get there.

What if I said English wasn't my first language? I'd be a liar, but would you click on it? Please, click on it. I'll cry if you don't.

"A gift." One guard says to someone else in the room as he leaves. I groan in pain and scrunch myself into a ball, squeezing my eyes shut. Seconds later I hear shuffling and then someone is beside me. "Y/N?" Asks a voice. No- Bucky's voice. My whole body relaxes and I let out a soft breath. He's ok. ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ Staying together has always been the most important thing to Y/N Rogers. After the death of her mother left her an orphaned 15-year-old, her friendship with her older brother Steve and best friend Bucky mattered more than ever. She latched onto them, finding some bittersweet solace in their closeness. In turn, they finished raising her. The three were inseparable. Even now, six years later, nothing has changed. So when Bucky and Steve both leave to fight in the war the last thing she's going to do is stay in Brooklyn. Nothing's too far if it keeps their trio together. Not leaving everything she knows behind, not shoving down feelings she's refused to acknowledge for years, not even risking her life time and time again. It's the kind of commitment fueled by an infinite amount of love, but guaranteed to end in disaster, every single time. The Winter Soldier and The Red Angel

14 parts Ongoing

Bucky's POV: Nat peeked, barely dodged another bullet. "I think that's The Red Angel," she muttered, sliding into position beside me. I glanced at her. Red Angel? "Didn't think she was real," Nat continued. "Thought she was just a myth. Supposedly trained in the Red Room. Or maybe Hydra got their hands on her first - no one really knows. There's talk she was an experiment. The kind that leaves a trail." She shifted again, moved to another position as the others kept the woman busy. I followed, covered her flank. Then Nat said the part that stuck with me: "Thing is... she should be old by now. But the way she moves? Doesn't look like any grandma I've ever seen." (...) Nat: "What the hell was that?" I didn't answer. Couldn't. I was staring into the smoke, my fists clenched. My breath shallow. "Someone I might've known," I finally said, voice low. "Someone they might've used me to create."
