Mirai Uchiha was betrothed to Itachi since she was 8. Things flip out of proportion when Itachi massacred his entire clan with the exception of Mirai and Sasuke.
While maintaining her distance from Itachi, Mirai stumbles across the copy ninja Kakashi Hatake. They forge a bond as both have lost everything. Their proximity is uncomfortable for Itachi, because how much ever he denies, he knows Mirai is the love of his life.
Itachi knows all about Mirai's powers. Her sharingan was stronger than any other Uchiha. Details of her life had been carefully erased by people around her, details about her abilities, her lineage and most importantly her chakra. Until she realised everything in her life was a lie. A scheme concocted by none another than the ghost of Uchiha.
