BLACKWATER MAW 2: Devils Current

Three years after the Blackwater Maw incident, the deep wetlands of Blackwater Parish have settled into a strange, delicate balance. The surviving Deinosuchus pair-the Old King and the Old Queen-have withdrawn far into the untouched swamp, raising a fully grown brood that now rules different channels like young, territorial giants. For the first time in generations, the ecosystem has found stability.

But then the quiet begins to break.

Wild hogs disappear overnight.
Cattle are found with their ribs crushed inward.
Entire groves of cypress trees topple as though pulled from below.

At the same time, the Deinosuchus brood begins to abandon its hunting grounds, clustering near the boundaries of human settlement. Something deep in the bayou is pushing them out-something powerful enough to challenge even their parents.
