Set a little before Roberts' employment at SDN and continues into the game's main timeline, Jayce is a troubled youth who found himself cursed with a power that causes his body to undergo a strange change. His mind warped by the intense power, he found himself fighting heroes and hurting people for many months until he was caught in a massive explosion, which caused him to lose his memories. Only with his name to remember, a woman tall and blonde questions him, only to realize he is a prime candidate for the Phenoix program and offers him a spot to join the Z-Team, a group of Villains turned Hero in hopes that he will develop into a hero and save lives instead of hurting them.
