This poem describes a person waking in a dark, quiet room, feeling lost and searching for guidance. A familiar voice speaks, though its face cannot be seen. The darkness represents confusion or emptiness inside the person. The voice tells the speaker, "You are the light," meaning that the soul already carries a spark of life, goodness, and purpose-but it has dimmed. Through a series of questions and metaphors, the voice explains that just as a fish cannot survive outside water, a tree cannot grow without soil, and a lamp cannot shine without oil, the soul cannot truly glow without God-the eternal, unburning flame. This flame does not destroy but warms, guides, and illuminates from within. The poem ends with the speaker realizing that God's flame has always been inside them. The compass metaphor explains that guidance alone is not enough; even if you have tools or advice, without the inner flame-the presence of God-you cannot find your path. The flame allows the soul to see clearly, to move with direction, and to shine even in the deepest darkness. In essence, the poem is a meditation on awakening the soul, finding God within, and allowing that divine light to guide life's journey.

You found me where the sea met silence-a shore too quiet for its own heart. And somehow, you turned that silence into a song. Before you, the world was still, the sky unmoving, the piano untouched. But then there was you-bluebell eyes, a voice like waves, a laugh that could wake the tides. You didn't rescue me. You simply saw me-and that was enough to make me float again. This poem, this book, is my thank-you. Thirty tides, thirty heartbeats, thirty poems carved from salt and lavender light-a collection of the moments, the thoughts, and the breaths that became "us." Every page is a memory dressed in poetry. Every word is something I never said aloud but always meant. You are the melody the sea taught me, and I am forever writing it back to you. Happy birthday, wifey!! mwa mwas u dearly ^^ May the sea always carry my words to where you are. 💜🌊 - Aloe, your lavender. (This is a Gift for @Zenisshiiit)
