The Hole

When a mysterious hole opens in a suburban cul‑de‑sac, ordinary life collapses into chaos. At first, it swallows small things-bicycles, toys, lawn chairs. But soon, it begins consuming far more: trust, sanity, and the fragile bonds between neighbors.

Families fracture into factions: Believers who see the hole as divine punishment, Rationalists who demand it be destroyed, and Opportunists who exploit it for spectacle. At the center is Emma, a grieving child convinced the void listens. If she gives enough-her toys, her memories, perhaps even herself-maybe it will return her lost dog, Buddy.

As the hole pulses louder, darker, almost breathing, the community must confront the unanswerable: is it a god, a wound, a mirror, or nothing at all?
