When Emmeline Rose surpasses her twelfth birthday she gets told some news which could be taken in two ways - her mother is coming out of prison. She has grown happy with her current life, friends and having two dads but has always wondered what it would be like to have a mum. Knowing the terrible deeds Vanessa has committed involving Tom and Benedict makes her reluctant to get to know her mum properly but she wants to stop the teasing from other kids in her class from being the one with two fathers.
When an opportunity arises for Tom and Benedict which could also effect her life forever will she make the right choice?
