After he finds out his boyfriend has been cheating on him, young half-angel half-human magic caster Kade breaks up with him and falls into a DEEP depression. To add onto this, his parents discover his notes about his boyfriend and his feminine items and forcefully send him to a magtic boarding school to "get back in line in society" (Magic is like religion in Maeve). However, on the bus ride there he meets Althea, who just wants to expand her studies. The two become temporary friends and Kade goes through the first part of the school year alone. However, when the teacher announces the start of a major project where you need to find an inner voice, Kade notices Althea and joins her group. In this group, all the main characters are there and know each other. However, Kade feels like an outsider. However, him and Pilar get into an interesting conversation about relationships and the two become good and permanent friends.
