Prologue

Luna Ricalde didn't expect her life to get complicated because of one girl onstage.
On a normal night at a small café near campus, Aurora was playing. People were loud. Lights were soft. And then the vocalist walked up to the mic.

Ace Vergara.

She looked calm, confident, like she was made for the stage. The moment she started singing, Luna stopped moving. She watched the whole set without blinking. When the last chord faded, Luna let out a small laugh and whispered, "Okay. Great, I need to watch her more."

But Ace had someone else in mind.. Christine Robles, Her bandmate.
Christine was easygoing, funny, and naturally charming. Luna didn't blame her. It still hurt, though, watching Ace laugh with Christine like it meant something.

And then there was Riley.

Riley Janna Lim had known Luna way before Ace did. They were friends from high school-not the soft, gentle kind of friends, but the annoying type you can't get rid of. Riley teased Luna about everything. Stole her snacks. Called her dramatic. Rolled her eyes whenever Luna got too excited.
But Riley was always there.
Through tests, heartbreaks, wins, losses.
She acted annoyed, but she never left.
