Golden Eyes: A Jasper Whitlock/Hale/Cullen Story

You may be wondering who I am, and why I came to Forks, Washington. Actually, screw that- you're probably gaping at my flawless tan skin, flaming red hair, and gold eyes, and wondering: "Is that really BELLA'S cousin?!"

Spoiler alert: Yeah, I am. My name Astrid, though most everyone calls me Ria. You should, too- very few people use my actual name. And, in case you couldn't guess, I'm not like other people- last time I checked, normal people didn't have powers or gold eyes. I know what you're thinking: "Powers? What powers?" MY powers. I've been through hell and back, and I've had my abilities for half my life now, ever since the first day I felt fire coursing through my veins. Literal fire, by the way. And a shit-ton of chemicals. They killed everyone else, but not me- no, then you wouldn't have a story to read, would you?

Speaking of stories... here's how I met the Cullen family, and caught the eye of a certain Civil War veteran with blonde curls; though, to be fair, he drew me in, too. Did I mention the part where we end up fighting against a bunch of angry mutants and a few stray nomadic vampires? No? Ah, well... you'll see.

I hope you like my little story about Jasper and Ria. This is not your traditional 'Human × Vampire' story. Between Jasper's silent, mysterious air and Ria's fiery, smartass remarks, it can get awkward or cute really fast. Alice is, obviously, not Jasper's mate. An OC named John is, but he's mostly just in the background, kinda like Jasper is in the Twilight books and movies. Ok, I'll shut up about my blonde veteran and red-headed nerd so that you can get to the story- which takes place after the events in Breaking Dawn, just so ya know. Anyway, ciao!
